My concern is that windows will continue to show 2080 ti even after I installed the 3080 ti so I'd like to try to get this problem resolved asap.ĭoes anyone have any ideas what could be causing this and what I can do to resolve it? Any tips are greatly appreciated. I have a 3080 ti on order that should be delivered next week. Nope, once I logged back into windows and installed the correct driver for the 1080, device manager still shows 2080 ti. Today I downloaded and ran DDU in safe mode thinking that would fix my problem. Type devmgmt.msc (without the quotes) and hit. Follow the steps below to manually update your graphics card using Device Manager. Press and hold the windows key, and tap R (this is the keyboard shortcut to the run box) 2. I've uninstalled it from Control Panel and Device manager, it doesn't matter as once the computer reboots device manager still shows a 2080. You may need to obtain the correct driver for your video card. Make sure to check the box behind Delete the driver software for this device. If yes, right click on each and select Uninstall driver. Check for the Greyed out or Unknown devices under Display adapters and Other devices. The problem is, no matter what I do Windows 10 still thinks the 2080 ti is installed. Click on View in the menu bar and choose Show hidden devices. Once that didn't work, I figured it was the video card so I uninstalled it and swapped it out with my old GTX 1080 FE I had laying around. During my troubleshooting a did a system restore to a restore point that was made a couple months ago. Recently my 2080 Ti failed on me while playing a game.
